Privacy policy

What Dayo does and does not collect, why, and the rights you have over it. Written to be read rather than to be impenetrable.

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Who we are

Dayo is operated by Medstack Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 16439872, registered office Wise House, Unit 2, Eden Way, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 4FY, England. Medstack Ltd is the data controller for this website. You can reach us through our contact page.

The short version

We do not want your health data and we do not ask for it. Dayo is an information and comparison site: you can read every page without giving us anything. We do not sell medicines, take payments, run accounts or operate a login. There is no medical questionnaire here, and no reason for you to tell us anything about your health.

What we collect

  • Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type. Our BMI calculator runs entirely in your browser: the height and weight you enter are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere, and they disappear when you close the page.
  • Basic technical data that any web server receives when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring site and timestamps. This is used for security and to understand which pages are useful.
  • Analytics data, if analytics are in use, in aggregate form to understand traffic patterns. We do not use it to build a profile of you as an individual.
  • What you choose to send us. If you contact us about a price error or provider concern, we receive whatever you put in that message. Please do not include medical details: we cannot act on them and would rather not hold them.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal data. Not to pharmacies, not to advertisers, not to anyone.
  • We do not collect or store health information, medical histories or prescription details.
  • We do not pass your details to pharmacies. When you click through to a provider, you leave Dayo and their privacy policy takes over.

Cookies and affiliate tracking

Dayo may use affiliate links, and those work through cookies or tracking parameters set when you click through to a provider. If you later place an order, the provider's affiliate programme may tell us that a referral converted, so that commission can be attributed. That report is commercial data, not personal data: it does not tell us who you are, what you ordered clinically, or anything about your health.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and the site will continue to work. Our full commercial position is set out on the about page.

Third parties

Some services are loaded from third parties in the ordinary course of running a website, which may include our hosting provider, a content delivery and security layer, web fonts and analytics. These providers may process technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the service and protect the site from abuse. Links to external sites, including pharmacies and official bodies such as the MHRA, GPhC and NHS, are governed by those organisations' own privacy policies.

Legal basis and retention

We process technical and analytics data under legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, working and useful. Where consent is required, for example for non-essential cookies, we rely on your consent and you may withdraw it. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter and any follow-up, and technical logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability where it applies. Given how little we hold, most requests are quick to resolve. Contact us through the contact page.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Children

Dayo is intended for UK adults. Foundayo is not licensed for use in children, and this site is not directed at them. We do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update it and change the date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
